With some false information and conspiracy theories circulating, we want to take a moment to set the record straight.

The draft future vision for The Groundz isn’t new and it’s already in motion. It’s an exciting, community-driven plan focused on activating under-utilised spaces, supporting local businesses (from food operators and musicians to tradespeople), creating jobs, and building a vibrant destination the whole community can enjoy.

Here’s What’s Already Happening at The Groundz:

* The Tap House – A vibrant indoor/outdoor venue featuring whisky and outdoor bars, gelato, pop-up eateries, food trucks, and live music.

* The Gable – A character-filled, flexible venue ideal for weddings, events, and community functions.

* The Main Bar – Newly refurbished with a fireplace, with full dining services on the way.

* Public Events – Night markets, family fairs, and a new monthly market launching in July.

* Community Initiatives – Home to Poultry & Pigeon Clubs, Dapto Football Club, Illawarra Cancer Carers, Bingo, Return & Earn, Dapto Country Show, charity events, and more.

* Across the Site – Features a restaurant, nail salon, caterer, and other growing offerings.
